Course time: 6:30pm – 10:30pm
Class size: 5

All those moving parts in your engine will destroy themselves without good oil!

Generally you’ll want to change oil ever 5000km or so – Is it time for an oil change? Are your gear shifts feeling clunky? Learn how to inspect and replace your engine oil. Keep the bike running smoothly and performing safely.

Bring YOUR bike in and complete a service – learn to do it the right way, what to look out for, and when to do it, alongside a professional.

This workshop will cover the following topics as required:

  • Learn about different types of oils, service intervals and warning signs of running low
  • Learn what to look for in old oil for symptoms of engine problems
  • Learn about oil filters and crush washers
  • Change your engine oil

You WILL need parts for this workshop, we can do this for you, or you can source your own.

  • Oil (we stock Motul 5100 10W40) – $50-$80
  • Oil filter – $15
  • Crush washer – $2
  • Kommune Members get 10% off

This is a hands-on workshop, where our trainer will work alongside you and a few other riders to complete the service. Roll on in, have a coffee or beer, and get wrenching!

If you are not sure if your motorcycle is ready for new oil, most bikes require new oil every 5,000 – 7,000 km. Check your manual for specifics. Otherwise, please swing past and we’ll check it out! (at no cost, of course!)

Drinks and snacks provided.
