What we’ll be covering during the Women’s Wrench Night:

  • =How to Weld & Introduction to Fabrication
  • =Basic fabrication principles
  • =Metallurgy based on commonly used materials
  • =Cutting techniques and tools usage
  • =Introduction to MIG, TIG & ARC welding
  • =Workshop Safety
  • =Course is over two consecutive Mondays

All the How-to you can handle:

Women’s Wrench Night is back for 2021 with some exciting new additions! These nights are open to everyone and you do not need to be a member to participate.
 
Each month will have a focus on different aspects of your motorcycle and surrounding skills where you’ll be able to learn all the basics to keep your motorcycle in a safe and well-maintained condition. We’ve also locked in some incredibly inspirational women from the moto-verse to share skills and inspire more of you to get involved in the industry! To make it even more awesome, both Kommune and our suppliers are so keen to support these nights we’ve arranged a ton of giveaways such as service kits, custom parts, consumables, 1-on-1 sessions, and more that you ladies can win each Wrench Night.
 
While the workshop is open to everyone on a Wednesday evening, we’ll have specific volunteers on shift to help those attending the Women’s Wrench Night.
 
If you’ve never worked on your moto before, or are looking to gain more technical knowledge, these are the perfect nights to learn all the basics, from introduction to hand tools, through to working on your bike. This is a great first step into the world of motorcycles, license or not you’re absolutely welcome.
 
These open nights are completely free of charge and we encourage people to swing past network with like-minded people, even if you’re not working on a bike.
 
Kommune prides itself on being a space for everyone so get involved and learn some new skills and meet some new fellow riders!

Who is this course right for?

The Introduction to Welding & Fabrication Course is perfect for those that are keen to have a crack for the first time, and those that have some experience with metal working but are wanting to learn better techniques.

Important info:

  • Enclosed footwear, long sleeves and non-synthetic clothing are an absolute must. Welding can cause serous skin irritation.
  • Please note the course is limited to 8 attendees per class and you will be teamed up in pairs.
  • You don’t need to bring anything with you, everything needed is provided, including drinks and snacks.
